Ready for another year with more opportunities possible? We at Charleston Traditions at Bowling Green can’t wait to see the following developments promised to open in and around Wake Forest, North Carolina over the next 12 months.
- Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts at 405 S. Brooks St. will have a second phase of enhancements that will close the Renaissance Centre’s Grand Hall until this spring. They will include a raised ceiling, extended stage, and upgraded sound system in the Grand Hall, along with the installation of theater lighting, upstairs dressing rooms, family room with baby changing table and a lighted marquee. The Arts Annex, which includes a new art studio and business suite, will remain open and will continue to offer cultural education classes, workshops and exhibits.
- The new and improved Holding Park Pool at 133 W. Owen Ave. should open by May. It will include a six-lane, 25-yard lap pool, two water slides with plunge pool and a children’s pool with water play. Check out the link for pictures of the progress of construction that began in September.
- Need more room for all your personal items? Bee Safe Storage plans to open a three-story facility on 1.79 acres of undeveloped land at 939 Gateway Commons Circle now under construction. The self-storage facility will offer climate-controlled units for month-to-month rental in a large range of sizes, plus sell boxes for moving.
- Coming this fall, the Wake Forest Community Library at 400 E. Holding Ave. will reopen after a year of renovations that include expanding the facility from 5,200 to 9,200 square feet. Visitors will be able to enjoy a collection of between 40,000 and 50,000 books, 16 public computers, an increased youth programming space, and enlarged reading and study areas for both children and adults.
